Individualized Instruction to Meet All Learners

Students at OCS get to engage in a wide variety of instructional techniques lead by our highly qualified staff, as well as participate in educational activities to enhance their learning and understanding of academic concepts.  Knowing that students with IEPs require individualized learning, multi-modal approaches are used across curriculum to increase progress outcomes.

Students are challenged through hands on activities, technology infused curriculum, use of iPads in every classroom, visually supported curriculum for those with the greatest cognitive deficits, and extension activities for those who are working above grade level. Students also participate in individual, small and larger group projects including; science fair, Veteran’s Day writing competition, and special school wide assembly’s with student involvement.
